The World That God Didn’t Make

Here’s something to ponder when it comes to God: Why would a spiritual entity that is endlessly good, that is infinite and immortal and invulnerable, create a material realm that is finite and vulnerable and that is filled with lack and suffering and death. Why would God create like this? If we are using reason then I think we have to say it does not make sense that God would create like this and what does make sense is that God would not create like this. That leaves us with the world that we all seem to experience, that we seem to inhabit, but which reason says would not have been created by God. This is not a particularly big deal for some, for atheists as an example, because they already deny that the world was created by God. But it is significant if we accept God as the only power and cause that there is.
