Spiritual Stress Relief

I’ve written a book titled Metaphysical Truths: Spiritual Stress Relief which is exploration of how spiritualism, and specifically the spiritual life help practice, can provide real help with the experience of stress. As I say in the book, stress is a universal experience — everyone experiences stress, from infants to the elderly to everyone in between. In this respect experiencing stress is not an option, we are going to experience it; the option we have is how we respond to stress once it shows up. There are a variety of available strategies for responding to stress, and this variety is expected given how common stress is: it happens so often that there will naturally be various attempts made to, if not cure it, then at least reduce its impact. But I believe the sort of spiritual response that I am advocating is fairly unique, and perhaps even that it’s something unknown before now.

What about effectiveness? A unique response for stress is all well and good but does it actually help reduce negative impacts that stress seems to cause? Naturally I think so given that I wrote a book about it but, frankly, the only way to know for sure is to try it. Now that may sound like a sales pitch but those who should decide to read Metaphysical Truths: Spiritual Stress Relief won’t be making an especially big financial investment: it’s priced at $2.99. There’s also not a big time investment involved, I refer to it as a booklet because of its concise format. I could try to be convincing about how helpful it is and maybe that would be persuasive and maybe it wouldn’t; or people who are curious about a very different response to stress can make a minimal investment and then make up their own mind. In any case another option is there, a spiritual option that won’t appeal to everyone but could appeal to some.
